Terms of Service
Effective May 28, 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an IntelBrief account or using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you are using IntelBrief on behalf of an organization, you agree to these Terms on behalf of that organization.
2. Service Description
IntelBrief is a competitive intelligence service that monitors publicly accessible web pages and online sources on your behalf, processes that information with artificial intelligence, and delivers a weekly digest summary to your email. We monitor only sources that are publicly accessible without authentication.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You may not share your account with others or use another person’s account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You may use IntelBrief only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the service to monitor private, authenticated, or confidential pages you do not have permission to access
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the service
- Use the service in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation
- Resell or sublicense the service without our prior written consent
- Use automated means to access the service (other than our official API, available on the Business plan)
5. Billing and Payment
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Your trial period (30 days) provides full Pro features at no charge and requires no credit card. After the trial, continued use requires a paid plan. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
6. Content and Data
You retain ownership of any account data you provide. The intelligence content we generate from public sources on your behalf is yours to use for internal business purposes. We do not sell your data to third parties. We may use aggregate, anonymized usage data to improve the service.
7. Web Scraping Policy
IntelBrief respects website terms of service and robots.txt files. We use a polite crawler identity and observe crawl delays. When a site blocks direct scraping, we fall back to public aggregation sources (RSS feeds, news wires, social media). We do not scrape content behind login walls, paywalls, or that requires authentication.
8. Service Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, infrastructure upgrades, or events outside our control may cause temporary downtime. We will communicate planned maintenance where practical.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR ERROR-FREE. INTELLIGENCE SUMMARIES ARE AI-GENERATED AND MAY CONTAIN INACCURACIES. YOU SHOULD VERIFY CRITICAL INFORMATION THROUGH PRIMARY SOURCES BEFORE MAKING BUSINESS DECISIONS.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INTELBRIEF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. You may terminate by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with notice where reasonably practicable.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to your registered address at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Paris, France.
